1.1. These Terms of Participation (“Terms”) govern the terms and conditions for the Wisdom of the Wapuu vol. 2 online voting contest (“Contest”), which SG Hosting Inc. (“SiteGround”) organises during the following period: June 1, 2020 – September 30, 2020 (“Contest Period”).
1.2. The Contest is organized and conducted in English.
II. Right of participation
2.1. All individuals over 18 years old have the right of participation (“Participant(s)”).
2.2. Participation in the Contest is only possible in accordance with these Terms. By participating in the Contest, the Participant explicitly agrees and accepts to comply with these Terms. The Terms will be available for the entire Contest Period at: https://wisdomofthewapuu.com/terms-of-participation-in-wisdom-of-the-wapuu-vol2/
III. Conditions for participation
3.1. In order to participate in the Contest, the Participant must, within the Contest Period:
3.1.1. visit the following webpage: https://wisdomofthewapuu.com/submit-a-thought/
3.1.2. fill out all mandatory fields: full name, email address, thought regarding WordPress related topics, and may fill in the optional one: Twitter Handle.
3.1.3. agree SiteGround to publish its submitted full name and thought regarding WordPress related topic on the Contest’s publicly available website, and agree to grant SiteGround sole and exclusive termless royalty free license throughout the world to include the thought in a future second edition of book “Wisdom of the Wapuu”, which may be printed, published, distributed and amended (incl. updated) by SiteGround, and to agree to execute and deliver to SiteGround any and all documents which SiteGround reasonably deems necessary or appropriate to evidence or effectuate the rights granted under these Terms.
3.1.4. agree with these Terms, and shall press the button “Submit a thought”.
3.2. Once a Participant completes all of the steps described in 3.1., the Participant will receive a confirmation email for its submitted entry.
3.3. Within the Contest Period, each Participant may participate an unlimited number of times.
3.4. SiteGround reserves the right to priorly approve or decline each thought before it is displayed on the Website, in order to monitor for inappropriate content and to filter entries not related to the topic. The Website visitors will have the opportunity to vote for the thought(s) they like the most, but only once per every thought.
4.1. The Website visitors will have the opportunity to vote for the thought(s) they like the most, but only once per every thought.
4.2. The twenty thoughts with the most visitors’ votes may be published by SiteGround in a future second edition of the book “Wisdom of the Wapuu”.
4.3. In case SiteGround features the Participant’s thought in a future second edition of the book “Wisdom of the Wapuu”, SiteGround will always list the Participant as author of the respective thought.
V. Limitation of Liability
5.1. SiteGround is not responsible if the Participant has provided incorrect details.
5.2. SiteGround has the right to terminate the Contest and to modify these Terms at any time by declaring this in an appropriate manner. In these cases, SiteGround does not owe compensation to the Participants.
5.3. SiteGround is not obliged to conduct correspondence with the Participants and/or the winners of the Contest.
5.4. Participants who do not comply with these Terms will be disqualified without further notice, losing the possibility to become winners.
VI. Personal data
6.1. Within the meaning of Article 4 (7) of the General Data Protection Regulation (EC) 2016/679 the Data controller is SiteGround, contact address: email@example.com.
6.2. The personal data that the Participants provide to SiteGround in order to participate in the Contest authorizes SiteGround to store and process it for the following purposes: (i) to carry out the development and management of the Contest; (ii) to manage the printing, publishing, distribution and amendment of a second edition of the book “Wisdom of the Wapuu” and (iii) for any other purpose provided in these Terms.
6.3. The personal data needed to participate in the Contest is full name and email address.
6.4. The data required to participate in the Contest will be processed according to these Terms.
VII. Litigation and applicable law
7. The Contest is governed by the laws of the state of Delaware, USA, and any disputes arising out of or in connection with this Contest as well as the Terms of Participation, including disputes arising out of or relating to their interpretation, invalidity, performance or termination shall be settled by the competent court in the state of Delaware, USA.
VIII. Final provisions
8. Any claims and / or objections of Participants and / or third parties involved in this Contest should be submitted to SiteGround.
